Medical and Dental Insurance
Vital Images provides medical insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and dental insurance through Delta Dental of Minnesota. Both medical and dental insurance are effective the first of the month following the start date.
Life Insurance
Employees at Vital Images are covered by company-paid basic life insurance and AD&D. Both basic life and AD&D are effective the first of the month following the start date. Additional or supplemental life insurance may also be purchased by the employee for self and family coverage.
Disability Insurance
Both short term and long term disability insurance are paid for by Vital Images.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Vital Images provides employees with the opportunity to participate in flexible spending account plans to pay for out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. If enrolled in flex spending, the effective date is the first of the month following the start date.
Health Savings Account (HSA)
An individually owned account that employees can set aside tax-free money through payroll deductions. Employees that elect the High Deductible Health Plan will received a contribution from Vital to give their Health Savings Account a starting balance.
Vision Insurance
Vital Images offers vision insurance through EyeMed Vision Care for prescription glasses, frames and contacts for employees and their family members. Laser vision correction discounts are also included with the coverage.
Pet Insurance
Covering your pet's medical needs could not be easier. Choose between payroll deductions or a direct bill option. Insurance is not just for dogs and cats. Many types of animals have coverage options available.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Vital Images provides employees with access to free confidential services through Lincoln Financial. EAP consultants can provide you with help or resources for work and personal issues, or you may access resources via telephone and online.
On-Site Workout Facility
Vital Images has an on-site workout facility. Choose from treadmills or elliptical machines, weight machines, Bosu balls, and free weights. There are also locker rooms and showers available for employee use.
Health Club Benefit
Vital Images encourages employees and their families to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Blue Cross Blue Shield offers a subsidy towards memberships at several health clubs that participate in this program.
Yoga
Yoga classes are taught in-house once a week by a professional yoga instructor. Yoga is available to all employees at no charge.
Flu Shots and Additional Services
Flu shots are given onsite to all employees covered under our medical insurance plan who wish to be vaccinated. Additional activities include on-site health screenings.
Fresh Fruit
Vital Images provides all employees fresh fruit as a nutritious option to snack on.

Paid Vacation
Vital Images encourages employees to use vacation time to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Employees accrue 15 days (3 weeks) of vacation per year and once an employee has been with the company for five years, they then will accrue 20 days (4 weeks) of vacation each year.
Paid Holidays
Employees are given 10 paid holidays each year. Eight of these days are fixed holidays; the two remaining days are “floating” holidays to be used at the employee’s discretion.
Paid Parental Leave
Both new mothers and fathers are given one week of paid parental leave following the birth or adoption of a child. This is in addition to the six or eight weeks of maternity leave (STD) given to new mothers.

Vital Images offers a 401(k) retirement program, along with a company match – currently $0.50 for each $1.00 you contribute up to the first 4% of your compensation. Vital Images offers both a traditional and a Roth 401(k). |

Paid Volunteer/Community Service Time
Vital Images encourages employees to volunteer their time in our community in any facility or program they choose. All full-time employees are eligible for up to 24 hours of paid time per year for eligible volunteer service.
The Mother's Room
Vital Images has a special room for nursing mothers.

Our employees and immediate family members who travel over 100 miles from home are offered special protection services through this special program. Services include worldwide destination intelligence, document replacement assistance (for lost or stolen documents), emergency medical evacuation and transportation, emergency security evacuation, and more.
