Terms and Conditions for Participation in Canon Medical Informatics’ Donation Campaign at SIIM22

Canon Medical Informatics, Inc. (“CMII”) is committed improving the quality of life for all people. In line with its commitments, CMII is sponsoring a Donation Campaign (“Campaign”) during the Society for Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) 2022 (“SIIM22”) conference in Kissimmee, FL held from  June 9 through June 11, 2022.  By participating in the Campaign, each SIIM22 conference attendee unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of CMII, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMPAIGN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE DONATION AMOUNTS. SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
  2. The Campaign shall begin on June 9 and end on June 11, 2022.
  3. The donation amount is up to the discretion of CMII. CMII reserves the right to determine the method by which participation by SIIM22 conference attendees will affect the donation amount.
  4. CMII’s decision is final with respect to all matters relating to awarding of the Donation and shall not be subject to review or appeal by any participant or by any third party.
  5. Only US residents over the age of 18 are eligible for participation in the Donation Campaign. You may be asked, at any stage, to provide CMII with proof of age and /or identity.
  6. CMII shall notify all participants who provided contact information of its decision regarding final donation amounts to each organization. The notification will be made no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the SIIM22 conference.
  7. Your participation in the Campaign constitutes your agreement that CMII may contact you. Additionally, CMII reserves the right to disclose winners’ name and identity.
  8. CMII reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time and in its sole discretion.
  9. CMII reserves the right, at any time, to cancel, modify or suspend the Campaign if, in its sole judgment, the Campaign is not capable of being conducted as specified.
  10. These Terms and Conditions and any matters relating to them shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of Minnesota and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state of Minnesota.
  11. Participation in the Campaign by Healthcare Professionals (as defined by Advamed’s Code of Ethics on Interactions with U.S. Health Care Professionals) is contingent on documentation of the donation in a separate written agreement to be executed by the HCP and CMII. Any donation made in name of an HCP by CMII may be subject to reporting in accordance with U.S. Physician Payments Sunshine Act.
